The Session
Business headshot sessions run 30 to 45 minutes at our private studio at Jack London Square in Oakland. The studio is purpose-built for professional headshot photography — professional strobe lighting, multiple backdrop options, and a tethered camera system that lets you see your shots on a monitor in real time as the session progresses.
Every shot is fully directed. Posture, expression, framing, chin angle, what to do with your hands — nothing is left for you to figure out. If you've never had a professional headshot taken before, or if you've had them taken and hated the experience, the direction is what makes the difference. You don't need to know how to pose. That's our job.
Sessions typically cover two to three looks — a jacket on and off, a couple of backdrop options — giving you genuine choices when the proofing gallery arrives.
Proofing gallery delivered within 2 to 3 business days. Four professionally edited final images delivered within 1 to 2 weeks. By BART: About 10 minutes on foot from the 12th Street Oakland City Center station, or a quick rideshare. By car: Easy off I-880 and I-580. Street parking available on Jack London Square. From San Francisco: 15 to 20 minutes across the Bay Bridge from downtown SF. From the East Bay: Berkeley, Emeryville, and Alameda are all within 10 to 15 minutes. From Silicon Valley: I-880 North directly to the studio.
