The Studio — Jack London Square, Oakland
Our studio at Jack London Square is built for professional headshot photography. It’s not a shared creative space or a studio rented by the hour. It’s a private studio set up specifically for the lighting, backdrops and camera setup that produce consistent, polished results every session.
What’s in the studio: Professional strobe lighting calibrated for flattering results on every skin tone. Multiple backdrops, including classic white, light gray, dark gray and more. A tethered camera that shows your shots on a large monitor in real time, so you see exactly what we’re getting as we go.
What a solo session looks like: 30–45 minutes, fully directed. We guide your posture, expression, chin angle, shoulder position and framing. You don’t need to know how to pose or have any experience in front of a camera.
Sessions usually cover two or three looks, such as jacket on and off and a couple of backdrops, so you have real choices when your proofing gallery arrives. Most people leave surprised by how fast it went.

Getting to the Studio
Our studio is at 300 Jefferson Street in Jack London Square, Oakland, one of the easiest spots in the Bay Area to get to.
By BART: Get off at 12th Street Oakland City Center. It’s about a 15–20 minute walk down Broadway, or a short rideshare.
By ferry: The SF Bay Ferry runs from the San Francisco Ferry Building to Jack London Square, a few minutes’ walk from the studio.
By train: The Amtrak Oakland Jack London Square station (Capitol Corridor and San Joaquins) is a short walk away.
By car: Easy access from I-880 and I-980. There’s metered street parking and several garages nearby.
From San Francisco: Straight across the Bay Bridge, 15–20 minutes from downtown SF depending on traffic.
From the Peninsula or South Bay: Take I-880 North and exit at Broadway.
