New Hire Headshots Bay Area — Keep Your Team Page Consistent as You Grow
Your team headshot day went well. Everyone looks consistent. The website finally looks like a cohesive organization. Then you hire four new people over the next few months and the staff page starts to fall apart again — different studios, different lighting, different backdrops, mismatched quality.
It's the most common headshot problem growing Bay Area companies face. And it's one that compounds the longer it goes unaddressed.
At Camerawerkz, every team headshot day includes a built-in new hire solution. After your shoot we document the exact setup in detail — lighting configuration, backdrop selection, camera settings — so every new employee who joins can be photographed to the same standard as your existing team, whenever they come onboard.

The Problem With No System
Without a clear process for new hire headshots, organizations default to whatever is easiest in the moment. The new employee takes a phone photo. Someone crops a LinkedIn picture. HR sends them to a random studio with no connection to how the rest of the team was photographed.
Each individual decision seems harmless. Over 12 to 18 months of hiring, the cumulative effect is a staff page that looks like four different companies stitched together — some employees from the original team day, some from the new hire period, none of them matching each other particularly well.
The most professional organizations solve this at the point of the team headshot day, not after the problem has already appeared.
Who This Is Right For
Growing companies that had a team headshot day
with Camerawerkz The most seamless new hire matching happens when we photographed your team originally. We have the setup on file, we know your organization's standard, and matching is straightforward.
Companies that want to establish a consistent headshot standard
going forward Even if your existing team headshots weren't done by Camerawerkz, we can photograph new hires to a consistent standard that you maintain going forward. Over time as staff turns over and more employees are photographed in the new system, the staff page becomes increasingly consistent.
HR managers looking for a simple, repeatable process
The most common new hire headshot problem is that there's no system. Each new employee figures it out on their own — some book a studio, some use a phone photo, some just skip it. Establishing Camerawerkz as your organization's headshot resource for new hires gives HR a simple answer to the question every new employee asks: how do I get my headshot done?
Remote and hybrid teams For organizations
where employees work across different cities or only come into the office periodically, new hire headshots are especially difficult to coordinate. We can photograph remote employees at our Oakland studio when they're in the Bay Area for onboarding, or travel to their location to photograph them onsite. Either way the result matches the team.
Companies preparing for a website refresh or rebrand
A website refresh is the most common trigger for a team headshot day. Once the new site is live and the team looks consistent, the goal is to keep it that way. A clear new hire headshot process is what maintains that consistency as the organization grows.

New Hire Headshot Sessions — What to Expect
New hire sessions at our Oakland studio run 30 to 45 minutes and include everything covered in a standard solo session — full direction on every shot, tethered camera so the employee can see their images in real time, and professionally edited final images delivered within 1 to 2 weeks.
For onsite new hire sessions, we bring the documented setup to the employee's location. The session runs similarly to a studio session — same direction, same process, same results — with the added logistics of mobile setup, which adds approximately 45 to 60 minutes to the visit.
In both cases the employee receives a proofing gallery within 2 to 3 business days and final edited images within 1 to 2 weeks.
