How We Photographed 24 Employees at a 90-Year-Old Construction Firm — In One Day

For more than 90 years, Raymond has shaped skylines and interiors across the Western U.S. — delivering world-class drywall, framing, plaster, and architectural finishes on projects that most people walk past every day without knowing Raymond built them. Nine decades of craft, reputation, and growth. And like a lot of companies that have been around that long, the team photos hadn't quite kept pace with the work.

When Raymond came to us to photograph their Martinez office team, the occasion was fitting: a 90th anniversary milestone, 24 employees, and a single day to get it done.

The Challenge

A construction firm's office runs differently from a law firm or a tech company. People move between the field and the office. Schedules shift. Project calls don't wait for anyone. Getting 24 people through a photo session in a single day — without disrupting the operation — required a schedule that was tight from the start and had no room to drift.

We've photographed construction and trades companies before. We know that "we'll figure out the schedule on the day" doesn't work when half the team has a site visit at 2pm. So we built the session structure before we arrived.

What We Did

We set up our full mobile studio at Raymond's Martinez office — professional strobe lighting, seamless backdrop, tethered camera connected to a monitor. Everything that goes into our permanent studio in Oakland, packed into a conference room in Martinez.

Then we ran the session the way we run every tight team day: a rotating time-slot schedule, 10 to 15 minutes per person, no waiting, no rushing. Each employee came in, got directed through their shots — posture, expression, angle — reviewed their selects on the monitor, and went straight back to work. Nobody lost more than 15 minutes of their day.

24 employees. One day. Done.

The Result

Raymond walked away with a complete set of professional headshots for their entire Martinez team — consistent lighting, consistent quality, consistent standard across every person from leadership to field staff. Images formatted for their website, LinkedIn, anniversary materials, and anything else that comes up over the next few years of business development.

For a company that has spent 90 years building things that last, it made sense that the photography should be built to last too.

What This Looks Like for Your Company

The Raymond Group session is a good example of what a Camerawerkz team headshot day looks like for a construction or trades company — fast, efficient, no disruption to the workday, and results that hold up everywhere your team appears professionally.

We photograph construction firms, mechanical contractors, engineering companies, and industrial businesses throughout the Bay Area. Martinez, Concord, Walnut Creek, Richmond, Oakland, and all of Contra Costa County are part of our regular coverage area.

If your company is due for updated team photography — whether you're celebrating a milestone, launching a new website, or just tired of the mismatched photos on your About page — we'd love to talk.
