Ok, just stand there and smile. We've all taken pictures like this, forced into obligatory portrait that mom wants. Showing off the perfect family image. Is that really you and who you are.
F That, the type of Portraits I want to take, show the real you! Your not happy and have a resting bitch face! Great, I love it, that is authentically you. Your weird and eccentric, even better because that makes you unique and your presence will create an image that slaps people in the face. I just remembered seeing that commercial where the office employee gets off work and into his/her car and then changes into who they really are. Thats the human portrait I want to take. I often find that musicians and professional creatives with big personalities can play right into this type of portrait photography. The ability to let go, experiment, and just play really gets the creative juices flowing and the unplanned sparks start to happen in our sessions. I love mood, I love character. I love those people that don't conform to being trapped in the normalities of society box. Maybe that's because I secretly wish I could be one of them.
Now back to your not so average portrait session. If I had to slap a label on it. I gravitate toward dark and moody with color and motion.Wide angle and a bit off center. Outside of the box is what we'll chase. Think in the direction of album cover or a movie poster. I want make you the star that you never even knew you could be or that person you already knew you were on the inside and just needed the right creative collaboration to bring it out. If this feels like you. Let's connect and create the not your mom's average portrait session.
